If the elbow isn’t below dirt by 18 inch’s how to bond it and where. I get a pipe grounding clamp but where to bring it
Greetings Dan,
Sadly we can’t get into “installation” techniques as that would be considered consulting. However, when dealing with load side applications then encasing the elbow in 2″ of concrete is one way under the exception in 250.86 Ex. 3. Now, if service conductors are in the nonmetallic raceway as described in 250.80, they there is not allowance like what I just mentioned. The metal elbow would need to be connected to the grounded conductor in some fashion. How is again something that I can’t answer as I would never install a metal elbow less than 18 inches below grade if I knew it would need to be bonded….otherwise I would have to make a plan to bond it, with a jumper possibly all the way to the grounded conductor access point on the system and so forth. Again, hypotheticals are not something I we should speculate on. Just don’t install a metal elbow less than 18″ down if the raceway system is PVC.
This video is not playing, I’m noticing that half of the videos are not playing?
Greetings – They all work fine on our tests. More than likely internet connection on mobile or apple phones. They viewing on a desktop but we will also look into it more as well.
